How do you put music on

since it doesent allow you to put music on through double twist and doesnt read it.. I am old school I dont like to trust a cloud for my music. Plus i fly to much and need it to work offline

??? Connect the phone to your computer and copy your music to the SD card or internal memory. Am I missing something?

what I read is that it doesnt have the options to dock the sd card but what the galaxy nexus has meaning it would have to be done wirelessly. I dont want to keep my droid razr maxx i want to put it up for sell when I get my galaxy s3

You can connect to the PC but its not mass storage anymore it's MTP.

An alternative which will maintain mass storage is grab a SD USB thumb drive adapter, unmount and remove the SD, place in drive and go.

That still works right? Worth a shot anyway cause adapters are a dime a dozen and most people have at least a couple in a junk drawer.

Yeaaaaah, I'm gonna have to go ahead and agree with Jerry. Change is scary and I don't like it.

Seriously though, the explanation as to "why" does make sense, though I guess I never realized the storage space was partitioned. The article said "it just works" in Windows XP and above, which is good for my home computer, but if it has to download any driver at all (even automatically) I'm not going to be able to transfer any files to/from work computer. Our IT department has our laptops locked down so tightly I can't even change the timezone on the taskbar clock when I travel for work. Guess I'll have to use dropbox more, so another bonus for still being on unlimited data.

Connect to Xp and drivers install with no online nonsense. Shows up as Gt -19300 phone and card if you have one in. Use it like any other drive.
I use mediamonkey and sync my music over or use Kies

Due to the new MTP, it seems seems that you can't use it as a regular driver. I've figured it out though, I used easy phone tunes to sync a playlist on my iTunes library. The results still appear disorganized in the native music player but they're perfect when I use power amp, not sure why.

I especially like that I get to keep using iTunes.
