how do you roll the kernel back so i can towel root?

and i have a mac - will odin work with a mac?

Although as far as I know, that only works with Verizon's previous update, and Verizon is currently forcing an over the air update to 4.4.4. Proceed at your own risk.

You may have to use a Virtual Machine running Windows for Odin. Just flash the NCG kernel, root with Towelroot (was very difficult because I kept getting "Unfortunately health service stopped" etc many many times, also it was very slow and unresponsive at times), verify root and install SuperSu and update binaries, then flash the NHA kernel and your good to go.

so you're saying don't bother because even if i did it, then Verizon will force this update, and it will unroot my phone?

Search around on these forums. There been a couple of posts over the last few days about how to perform the latest update and still have root access.
