under settings---data usage----theres a check box for "alert me about data usage"

there are alerts set up through the verizon mobile site also, so you might have to make sure those alerts are set up also.....

I have an att note and there's absolutely no check box for that. There's a Mobile data check box under that sub setting but that shuts data completely off. There's also a set mobile data limit checkbox but nothing else.

Uncheck the set mobile data limit checkbox.

That shuts data completely off. My version note from att seems to not have an option to shut warnings off. I guess the only remedy is to set the limit super high so you get no warning. This is a silly option to leave out.

Mine on T-Mobile doesn't. I just set it really high and ignore it :).

It's odd that T mobile doesn't have the option since they don't throttle and there is no reason the customer to care where your data is at. I have unlimited with att so I to don't care and just put the limit high

Yeah but it's built into the phone regardless of carrier

Clearly it's not. And obviously if it is its restricted by att and T-Mobile. So when you say built in you mean only Verizon I guess.

I have the T-Mobile version. If I set the option to off for "Set mobile data limit" off, I can still use data and I don't get usage alerts.

They do throttle.. If you are on a limited plan (500 MB or 2.5 GB) but if on the unlimited plan then yes.. No throttle or anything.
