Android Central Question

I have a Samsung J5 and want to transfer the Sim to a Samsung 7 edge

There shouldn't be much of anything stored on your SIM, they can't really store much more data than your subscriber info for your carrier. If your contacts are "phone" contacts, they're stored in memory on your device which adds a whole other level of issue for what you're trying to do.

In your contacts app, change to view only contacts on your device (rather than all or cloud contacts). You should then be able to select them all to export to .vcf format, save to Drive or to an SD card. Then you can transport them to the new phone and import them.

Suggestion for the future - if you have all your contacts in a cloud account (your Gmail account will do for this) they will be available on every device logged in to your Google account.
