How do you turn off the weather on the home screen?

When you say home screen, do you mean up top on the notch, or on the lock screen?

The home screen on Android Pi, the one that appears after you unlock the phone/mobile device. It is near the upper portion of the home screen, just below the notification bar where the date appears.

That's just a widget. Hold for a second and drop it to bin (remove).

You can't modify it to keep the date and not the weather. There are other widgets that show just the date, but will look slightly different.

That's baked into the pixel launcher can't get rid of it unless you use Nova or similar launcher.

Thank you for the suggestion, though it does not act like a widget. When I hold it to move it as you suggest it only comes up with a "preferences" submenu, whose contents does not solve the issue.
