how do you turn on the sound?

When you make a phone call the phone rings but you cannot hear the person on the other end and they can't hear you. Everything else works fine. Any tips? It is a new phone.

Doesn't sound like a volume issue, sounds like a phone issue.
A brand new Note 2? That seems hard to believe

Seems like a Hardware issue to me. Also are you running Stock official Firmware or is the phone modified with any ROM?
