AC Question

My mom isn't that great with tech and can't figure out how to move pictures from her camera card to the computer. I used an Eye-fi card to fix that problem, but the vendor recently disable the product. Now, I am thinking of replacing her camera with a cellphone like a Moto G4 or equivalent. The chief advantage is that it will allow me more control of how to get pictures off the phone and also reduce the number of devices she carries.

How do they compare? She's using a Panasonic DMC-S2, which has a 14 megapixel camera, with a 6.08 x 4.56 mm CCD sensor, F3.1–6.5 aperture, and a maximum shutter speed of 1/1600 sec. The G4 supposedly have a 13 megapixel with a F2.0 aperture (min).

The spec seems comparable. I am thinking that the phone would have not have optical zoom and perhaps have reduced low light performance compare to the camera, Keep in mind that she will only use the take picture button because she can't figure out how to use anything else.

What do you think of the picture quality difference?
