I currently have a hacked iPhone on a T-mobile family plan with my sisters and mother (account was activated/setup by my sister about 6 years ago). I also do not pay for any of the mobile bills if that matters.
We are on a 2-year contract with T-mobile currently and it just renewed in January (my sister added a family text plan). I just opened a Sprint account for myself and pre-ordered the HTC Evo. Now I need to find a way to void my line on the T-mobile family plan (which will save my mother roughly $15 a month).
I've read a few tips to void a contract--specifically the route which you tell them you just moved and have no coverage whatsoever.
They say that you should have your phone turned off for at least a week, find a physical address in a area/state that have little to no coverage, and then give T-mobile a call.
The question I have now is that I have my T-mobile phone call forwarding to my Sprint phone. Will T-mobile still be able to track the LOCATION which I am receiving calls at?
Basically said, I live in Houston, TX, but will be telling T-mobile that I moved to Challis, ID with no coverage. Call forwarding from T-mobile phone to Sprint phone. Will T-mobile be able to check that I am still residing in Houston, TX by the call forwarded logs?
Thanks,
Anthony
