I have been using the iBolt xprodock with my S4 from the beginning, last Spring. When plugged into the car dock, a line in the information page of the notification bar was added named "Recommended Application (Docking)". At first, it was populated with some apps that I never use, but after a day or two it would gradually change to my most used applications. Everytime there was an update to the OS, I'd go through this process again, and after a day or two, all would be fine. However, with the KitKat upgrade, it no longer is changing to the applications I use (need) most when my phone is in the car dock. Does anyone know how to edit which applications are in that list (not rooted)? Thanks.

In lollipop, settings->notifications->recommend apps. There you can edit the apps. Or remove it all together.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5. Everytime I plug in my headphones, an aux cord, or connect to a Bluetooth device, my phones puts a banner across the top where my notifications go. This is to make choosing from the five available apps usually used with Bluetooth, aux, or headphones easier. To choose your five apps, go to Settings>Notification Panel>Related Apps. This will take you to a screen where your five apps may be chosen. For example, my five apps are Spotify, Netflix, Hulu, Google Play Music, and YouTube. These apps are commonly used when I listen through headphones, aux, or Bluetooth. (AKA Recommended Apps. If you hold down the banner, it will pop up with something that looks like a spot for an Avatar of some sort. On the far left click info or "i". This will take you to a screen describing the app. This is where you can disable the app or force stop.
