How does one get a replacement remote for the Nexus Player and what type of AAA batteries work?

AAA is the type it takes. The only difference in different kinds of AAA batteries is how long they'll last. Some batteries last longer than others. (I usually use Duracells - I don't work for them, they just seem to be a good price for the quality.)

Types are AAA, AA, C, D, etc. If it takes AAA, it'll work with any AAA - even if you mix manufacturers. (If you're using rechargeables, don't do that - use batteries from the same lot.)

I put Raynham alkaline batteries and the light on the top of the remote is flashing and the player doesn't respond to the remote. Any ideas why that is?

Sounds like it's no longer paired with the Android TV... our at least needs to be repaired.

I know this is old but i had to get a new remote. They just me a brand new nexus player.

I packaged the old one and sent it back. All under warranty. If that light keeps flashing on the remote, just re pair it to the player.
