how else can i unlock my pattern on my galaxy mega if the hard reset doesnt work?

I have a samsung galaxy mega and forgot my pattern password. Ive hard reset it where u hold the volume up, home, and power keys at the same time and nothing happens. No matter how long or short of a time i hold them for. PLEASE SOME HELP ME AND TELL ME WHAT ELSE I CAN DO ASAP!!!! Thanks!!

If you're trying to get into recovery so you can factory reset the phone, you do need to hold those three buttons... just make sure the last button you press is the power button.
