First of all I must say this was done by mistake and I'm not sure what I did but I'll run through the steps I did and apparently worked for ESfile explorer to gain control on my external SD card.

I downloaded an app called Recordable and was asked by the app to turn on USB debugging and connect my phone to my PC.

What I believe that changed thing was usb debbuging and plugging my phone to my PC.
I have the HTC sync manager that I suspect has something to do with it.

After running the procedure of activating recordable my SD card name was changed and after that I was able to give ESfile explorer control.

Android version - 5.0.1

Just shared my story, I'm probably missing something so anything you do is your own fault and nothing is advised here by me!

Thanks for sharing your store. But what exactly do you mean by (ES File Explorer gain control on your sd card)?!

Because as far as I know ES File Explorer always has access to the ad card.

Well on android kitkat ES and other file manager apps couldn't write on external SD cards because of some security protocol inserted in 4.2.
In Lollipop google changed this and gave apps the ability to write on external SD cards again. But on my device it did not work, I got promoted to give it permission but when the prompt to give access popped it crashed (on any app that asked permission). After I did what I wrote above it seemed to fix that issue.
