How is the readability of the Tab 3 8.0 for magazines?

I tend to read a lot of magazine and want to know how readable the text is on the Tab 3 8.0.
I don't like to zoom in and out so reading clear small texts are important to me.
I went to best buys to look at the displays but they didn't have any real magazine on the demo units so I have no idea.

TIA

That's a tough question to answer....if you have good vision and can read small print, then the answer is yes. I read my magazines using the Kindle App, but my vision is not what it use to be, so I zoom in and out, but I can read the page at full screen, but not very well or for long periods of time.

Don't know if this answers your question?

My eyes are ok for now and can read small texts.

I was using the Nook HD+ with the 8.9" high resolution screen.
The Nook is great for reading Mags especially 2 page in landscape mode but there are too many issues with stability of the OS.
I had multiple crashes and the lag was a major issue.
Today was the last day I could return the Nook without a penalty so I did and now I am in the market to get a new tablet.

My choices are

Samsung Tab 3 8.0
Nexus 7
iPad 5th Gen - when it gets released
iPad mini 2nd Gen - when it gets released.

I would have already bought the Tab 3 8.0 if it had a 1080p screen and a faster processor.
Those are the only drawbacks from what I can tell.
Now I'm trying to see if I should wait for the next gen offerings from Apple.
