I bought a refurbished model to get me through the Note 7 mess. The phone seems to charge slow, even with fast charging. What is the typical amount of time it takes for your phone to charge all the way to 100 percent.

Thanks.

Depends on a lot of things, but on usual conditions should charge around 1hr30min on fast charging from zero to 100.

Ok ... I am going to check it tomorrow on good wall charger. I only got it yesterday but this evening it is definitely charging slower than the estimated charging time. I have all my settings correct, so it might be the phone and I want to exchange if there is a problem.

It just took 39 minutes to charge 28 percent on quick charging block with all apps closed, but with wifi, bluetooth and gps on. This is exactly how long GSam said it would take. This seems slow to me. In fact, the rate seems to slow as it gets in the 90 percent range. I am used to my Note 7, which charged very quickly. This battery also drains twice as quickly as my Note 7.

Considering that I bought this from a third party seller and it was refurbished, I will probably just keep it and not exchange it with the seller. This is basically a transitional phone. I don't think I will get any better from another refurbished. Everything else on the phone seems to work great.

It matters as to what percentage did you charge from. Fast charge only works from 0-60%. If you charge from 60% onwards it's going to charge slower. 45minutes to charge 0-60, and 45 from 61-100.

I did not know that.

That's basically the difference between quick charge 1-3. Quick charge 1 I think goes up to 40, 60 for quick charge 2, ane quick charge 3 goes up to 80, before throttling down speed. If the battery is close to full, you don't want it to be charging too fast otherwise it would ruin the battery.

Mine charges slower and slower over time on the Samsung fast charging stand and pad. I check the estimated time remaining divided by the charge remaining and in the last couple days it got slower. Turns out wireless fast charging is slower than standard wired charging from basically any starting point now.

The S7 Edge is one of the slower fast charging phones I own. Like others said, about 1 hr, 30 minutes. I usually charge mine when it gets somewhere between 5-10%.

As a comparison, my Note 5 takes about 1 hr, 17 minutes from the same 5-10%.

Note 4-Note Edge, 1 hr.

Wireless fast charging was always slower than wired.

Note5 battery is only 3000 mAh and the S7E is 3600 mAh. So, that would explain the difference there.

A bigger battery would obviously take longer to fill up at the same rate.

Definitely.

My S7 Edge also has the longest lasting battery out of any of the phones I mentioned. I'm pleased with the battery life I get, just not sure after all these months if it's still my favorite.

I see the Note 7 had a 3500 mAh battery so there shouldn't have been that much difference in charging times that some are saying.

Thank you for the info.

When I drop my Note 7 onto the wireless charger it says what time it should be fully charged by. I have noticed there are times that it was still 15-20% below full around the times it said it should be at full. I have always had fast charge off on wireless, and it has always been that way for some reason.

I think that time is just an estimate. Most times when I plug in my phone, it will say it has 1 hr, 27 minutes till full. This morning, it actually took about 1 hr, 50 minutes. I think I may have used it a few times during that so that may have contributed to some of the extra time.

I just ordered a wireless charging stand. BestBuy says I should have it by 9PM tonight, same day delivery.

How long does your wireless charger take to charge the S7 Edge if you have one?

I technically don't have one yet. I ordered an unlocked one last week. It was just delivered to my house. But after some posting and input from other members here, I have return the unlocked one because I will lose some of the features I was hoping to keep by staying with the S7E.

So far the Best Buy inventory says that I should still be able to walk into Best Buy tonight and return both the unlocked S7E, and my Note 7, and still be able to walk out with a carrier branded S7e, and in the color I want... it's still an on going ordeal for me. I should have a better idea of charge times by the end of the week after setting up and using the device for almost a week.

I was mentioning my Note 7 because I thought it was weird like someone else posted that the charging seems to take longer than it says it should. I would think that both the S7/E and Note7 would have the same results for their respective batteries.

Good luck with your phone, hope you get it today.
