I have had Google voice since I got my droid so it's been a while. How long does it usually take to accumulate invites to give out? I wanted to give one to my sister since she finally has a smart phone but everytime I check I don't have any. Its been about 7 months already.

if you have an .edu email address you can get one within 24 hours now it looks like:

You can still sign up on the Google voice site. It usually takes like 2 weeks give or take. I am just curious because I have heard of people being able to invite others.

I don't think there is a designated time frame for those invites to appear. I think they just give them out randomly. They probably monitor those the same way they monitor their actual invites, so that they can keep the increases controlled and make sure that they don't have an extreme abundance of people signing up all at once.

1 to 2 weeks!! I signed up 3 months ago and never got an invite! Do I have to use my gmail account or something? I used my work email since it goes to my phone and has no spam filter.
