How long does it takes for your S8 to fully charge from low?

At least 1 hour and 20 minutes I think for me. Using standard charger that came with it.

I thought you got rid of your s 8? Anyway it's takes an hour or so for me with the standard cable depending on how low I run down the battery.

I once turned it off and got the same results so maybe my phone just refuses to fast charge ha None the less iam satisfied! It seems to charge fast up until around 80% and then the last few % seem to drag on forever ha

That's weird, if you are using OEM wall adapter and cable and the fast charging option on Battery settings is on, it should fast charge. if you are still under the 14 days window that the US carriers give I'd suggest you to pay them a visit and ask for this.

Sounds like the S8+ and not the regular S8. I have the S8+ and it takes around that time to fully charge from less than 15%.

s8+ here and from about 15% to 100% takes me about an hour and 30 mins i'd say though i could be wrong i've heard fast charging goes up to about 80% and then uses regular charging for the rest(to not overheat the battery would be my guess ?)

My post was in relation to the comment on that the phone refuses to fast charge, so I assumed it meant that it's not fast charging at all.

It's the one issue I have with this phone. It charges much slower than my S7 Edge. There's no excuse for it given the 835 chip.

Its the S8 i have NOT S8+ and it says fast charging on screen but yup, takes about 1hr40mins which iam fine with! My S7 edge may have charged a tad quicker but would get very hot where as this doesn't! My HTC 10 was a little quicker to fast charge also!!

Fast charging will not happen when the screen is on. It will say Fast Charging, but won't happen. Have to shut off the screen for it to really do Fast Charge.

I try for that, but lately I've been using the crap out of it playing games and I let it get to like 65% before I charge it. But yeah, if you want a long long battery life never let it get below 75-80%.

I only use wireless charging and wow is it slow.

From 5% to 100% I would say 3+ hours. This is with OEM samsung fast wireless charger, the new one.

If I mirror my phone to my PC while it is wireless charging, the charge rate actually goes negative lol. Kind of annoying.

Your phone is not fast charging for some reason. Fast charging charges the phone in approximately half that time (1 1/2 hours). If you're screen is on while you are charging it will not fast charge.

It may seems obvious but just in case, for those of you not fast charging, go to your battery settings and go to its advance settings and be sure that you have both, Fast cable charging and Fast wireless charging on. I can't remember if they are on by default.

Yeah it's supposed to do that. It fast charges up until 80%, and anything beyond that will just have the phone regularly charge. I think it's to lengthen the battery life, but I'm not exactly sure.

I don't do fast charge, so at 20%,to charge full about 90 minutes
