How Long Is HTC Going To Keep Early Upgraders Hanging?

I don't understand what about the version numbering made it impossible for the OTA update to take effect - they couldn't have it upgrade anything lower than what they were pushing? (i.e. "If VERSION_NUMBER < .6 than upgrade dat shiz, yo!") Are they going to OTA .6 to us or just make a file available with a note, "You nerds figured out how to manually jam the one we told you not to load onto your phones, so here's the file; fix it yourselves. Nooch!"?

I don't know why I laughed so hard at this, but I just spent a good 5 minutes trying not to piss myself. Thank you good sir.

I was a victim of revoked 3. Tried to flash the RUU, but failed. So o just did the .3 update. Waiting for the fix then going simple root. Did HTC make the .6 not work on purpose ?

im curious as to if having unrevoked3 running prior to the manual leak will then affect when we upgrade from the .3 to .6 when its released to us. . . . thats the real question

I wonder if the delay is their way to discourage people from doing this in the future.

Whatever they do I hope it is slightly better than the normal .6 OTA, just so us upgraders still have the upper hand. Haha

I wonder will bug fixes for the OTA version .6 be included?? Im guessing thats why they choose to do it that way...

Intersting thought. It could be but the "leak" was on the HTC site. I'm sure they will have it squared away shortly to help prevent "fragmentation".

Dirk, I am SO freaking edgy about this crap, I have been surly all day and your posts today have made me bust out laughing... excellent punctuation and some urban slang...just what I needed.
