How long samsung j5 prime takes for software upgrade?

I have started software update on samsung J5 prime mobile yesterday night 8.30pm..
my mobile is not yet started even after 12 hours.. I could see the status "Upgrading android" in the display.. pls help to solve this issue.

15 days before only, I bought this phone newly..

It should take no more than 10 minutes until the phone starts rebuilding the Dalvik cache (counting the number of apps it's done on the screen), which should take another 10 minutes or so. 12 hours means that something is wrong. What's wrong? Maybe you flashed an update for a different model J5 Prime?
