How many days until Sprint rolls out Froyo preinstalled??

Because that is the exact number of days that I have to get an EVO (or wait for the next root). Also is there anyway to tell from the box what version is installed?

I'm not sure I understand your first question but they are currently rolling it out now. I know there's no way to tell from the box whether it has been updated or not.

Well I have to give up my slick legacy plan, and wifi tethering to get an evo. I wasnt eligible for one until 8/1. It would be my luck to have an unrootable evo for $50 more AND lose tether hehe

Yeah, there is no way to be sure but the EVOs come in the box with the battery removed so if it left the factory before Froyo was officially rolled out, then there is a good chance it's pre-Froyo. HTH
