How many hours battery use?

Just a wonder of how many hours use you are all getting. I have a UK model S7 and I am lucky if I get more than 12 hours with moderate use. Is this the norm ? Coming from an iPhone which did about the same I thought this would trounce it on battery. I was wrong. I don't want to turn apps off etc. As surely that defeats the object. For reference my main culprit seems to be at home when I start using the wifi and any internet app. When I do the battery drops like a stone.

I get about 11-12 hours also. On t-mobile in the US. I'm sure it's a matter of os optimisation. When I first got the phone (May), I was getting stellar battery life (14-16)hours but after some updates it went to 9-10 and with last few updates it went up to 11-12 hours. Screen-on time is only 2-3 hours which is pretty sucky...

About the same then. Though mine is an exynos phone rather than Snapdragon. According to reviews etc the Europe version has tons more battery. I just ain't seeing that at all.

On a South East Asian S7 (Exynos Dual Sim). I normally charge at 40% whatever happens, so I can say I have exact times, but GSAM says I average over 17hrs standby with 4hrs screen on time.

17 hours, wow I have never got even close to that. Something not quite right as I would expect those figures myself. But alas no

I've been getting decent life out of it as well (exynos s7 flat)

So going to run GSAM for a few days but currently it shows an average of around 11 hours. Which is pretty poor I think for an Exynos device. Battery app in settings shows screen 40 % android system 22 and android os 9. Don't seem too unexpected to me. Pity really the phone is very good but just not getting the full day out of it.

40% for Android system is unusually huge, unless you're still syncing stuff and the phone is settling down since it's new (usually after 5 days it's good). You may want to try a system cache wipe.

You probably got some some rogue apps badly draining battery in background. See if you can identify those from battery stats or GSAM. then you can tone down syncs on those or even disable them if not important apps. If that's not found, try factory reset without re-installing apps automatically and go from there.

P.S: also make sure to turn off location history and smart network switch if you found them enabled. those settings have very detrimental effect on battery.

According to GSAM my screen on time has been 2hrs27 though both my phone radio and wifi have been on 6hrs31.. anything I can do to help that. Saying that the battery only starts really dropping when I go on wifi internet. I watch it counting down. The battery app shows it falling off the cliff when I check afterwards
More on GSAM if I carry on the way I am just Messi get on wifi internet. GSAM says I have 3 hours left with 44% battery

Personally, in wifi settings I set 'keep wifi on during sleep' to 'while charging', That way it's only connected to wifi when I'm actually using the phone

I'm a heavy user and my SOT is good enough for me. Not as good as my Galaxy s7 edge I had but miles better than then s6 and LG G5 I had before it. It gets better every day too now that the apps are being optimised more and more

I have that wifi setting on. However GSAM whether it is right or wrong shows that wifi is still on the whole time. Fighting a losing battle with my first Android phone

I usually get about a day and change, sometimes almost two days when my consumption rate goes between 1.5-2.0% an hour. But sometimes it can go as high as 20-30% an hour, and I'll need to recharge within the same day. It all depends on how heavy I use it, but I pretty much almost always get a day and change.
