How many photos can you send in a text message?

I was just curious how many pictures can you send in a single text message? I still have my Galaxy S5 and my only gripe with it is that I can only send a couple of pics at a time in a single text message. I have Googled this and cannot find out why this is the case. I suspect it's the S5 itself with this restriction. And yes, I have tried taking pics in low resolution but it doesn't make any difference.

I was wondering if this has improved with the S8?

Most carriers only allow a couple of pics at a time and even then at reduced Rez even.

I think Hangouts use to allow multiples.

I'm on T-Mobile just now and using Sammy text I was able to send 10 pics.

Thanks for that. My MMS settings are on "free", i.e., no restrictions. But my wife's iPhone 6 is on the same carrier and plan (shared plan) and she can send numerous pics on 1 text.

So it had to be the S5 itself.

Use the link share option and you can send as many as you want, up to to 1 GB. And you can send video, something you can't do thru text, usually to large.

Edit... It also sends photos without degrading the quality of picture. Sending thru text compresses the photo. Most time don't matter, but just putting that out there.
