how much available storage should a 32gb VZW Note5 have out of the box?

It only says 23.47GB on mine... is this normal? (again, straight out of the box with no SIM card and no wifi)

Yeah that seems right. The OS takes up most of that I think. I just got a note 5 and it's nice having that rather than 1 Gig from my old Moto X 2013,

including the operating system preloaded bloatware & touchwiz that sounds about right.
I was thinking of getting a note 5, I'll definitely look into the 64gb model.

That's what I had too with my 32gb Verizon. Traded it back in for the 64gb. I could have made it work but don't want to have to!

That sounds very accurate. Exactly why I got the 64gb model, because the OS is disturbingly huge once Verizon gets their hands on it.
