How much better do you think JB is over ICS?

I don't see anything special with JB.

I didn't have any type of lag in ICS, so I don't notice the smoother feel of butter.

The expanded notifications only work if the apps that notify support it.

Google now might be decent for those who enable web history on Google, but I don't want to do that.so I can't take full advantage of Google Now.

I'm not as easily impressed as so many others.

Wow, that last line comes off as a bit condescending!

Anyway, I think JB is a step in the right direction and noticeably nicer than ICS.

I never had a problem with the keyboard in ICS, but I did have a few crashes and hangups that I have not seen with JB.

There are some apps that do support expanded notifications and I'm sure there will be more to follow.

Google now works well for people who choose to use it.

Mine too until I replaced photos via the phone, not from my Gmail contacts on the computer.

Yeah i replaced my pics and my contact pics do look real clear even on my ns4g

Believe me u might not c lag on ics but some of us have I'll admit ics was smooth but has NOTHING on the feel and look of jb and as for the notifications ALL of the notifications are modified like the phone if u are on a call u can hang up right from the notification bar or if u miss a call u can call back or text the person right from the bar very cool and that's only one

And if u just choose to not have Google track your web history but travel Google now is still useful if u are by any transit stop or using GPS Google now will bring up cards for that and now u can pick your own team

Totally disagree. After using it for a week, I'm thoroughly impressed...maybe I'm too easy.

I freakin forgot how ICS looks and feels, its been so long.

This just hit me... It's September... JB was announced back in June...

Android has been releasing a new version about every 6-months or so...

JB has already reached HALF LIFE...!!

So your VZ JB OTA will probably already be outdated the moment it comes out, or be relevant for about 1-2 months...

Don't you hate that feeling, of receiving an OTA, and having to hit that "Update" Button hoping for another update, immediately afterwards...?

Yeah, that is why I rooted...

Speaking of it being September, this time last year, all the buzz was about the coming Galaxy Nexus. Why is there no big talk going on about whatever this years Nexus phone will be?

The big advantage is Jellybean for me is that it's a little smoother and crashes less. I really hate to say it.. but it's not nearly as "buttery" as iOS. I'm a big apple hater, but I have to admit their UI seems much more "fluid" "smooth" and "snappy".

Yup. Ios will always lead there.

Why do you think it will always "lead" there?? Simpler operating system? I have faith that open source will eventually help to lead android to a much more smoother and faster experience.

Because iOS devotes the primary processing thread to user interaction, so when you touch the screen basically all other processes are paused so you get that instantaneous interaction feeling. On the flip side, Android has true multi-tasking.. So yes it will always seem at least a hair laggier than iOS because background processes continue to run regardless.

The whole thing can be explained much much better... But that is the gist.
