I got the Note 9, I used my s8 plus as the trade in device so I still have the Note 8. I'm just waiting a couple weeks to make sure the Note 9 isn't a fireball 7 all over again.

My dad is interested in it. The note 8 is in mint condition as well. How much would it fetch right now?

Is the phone unlock? That determines how much you'll be paid for that TMobile branded phone.

And note 8 being an fireball 7? I'm lost 🤨.

Look at what they are selling for on Craigslist or similar sites. Last February, I tried selling my Note 8 for $600 and had zero interest. I lowered it to $500 and got one person who came out from another state to buy it but being it was a T-Mobile unlocked phone, couldn't get it to work on version so I gave up i trying to sell it.

Now that it's many months later and nearly a year since launch, you may get $400 if you're lucky. It's your dad you're thinking of selling it to so $400 may be too much now.

You could keep it until the next pre-order and use it as a trade in. Of course, you risk it losing its value and Samsung not having great trade-in deals.
