how much credit do you give to gsmarena's G4 spec?

Interesting, smaller size, sd card, no mention of a replaceable battery...I'm interested! Just hope at the very least they go to a bottom firing speaker, at best front firing. That alone could bust a sale for me, after dealing with cupping my hand around my back firing GS3 for 3 years it's a possible deal breaker for me.

A smaller screen, I hope it's not true. Unless they're coming out with another model with a larger screen.

Personally I hope for a smaller screen. The G3 has shown me my limits on phone size and the G3 is the absolute MAX

If they keep the same size screen I'm off to the S6!

Any idea if the announcement date and release date are somewhat accurate? Not upgrading till Sept, but i want to know if the G4 will even be in my consideration or if i'm just going for the S6

It doesn't matter if you aren't upgrading until September, the G4 will definitely be out by then (though, at that point, it's only another month or two until the Note 5 and that should definitely be considered). We should see an announcement by the end of March or early to mid-April with a release by May. That's if LG follows the same thing they did last year with the G3.

So the 32/64GB means the US will only see 32GB which counts me out automatically. I am looking at the S6 Edge but have used LG in the past. I just don't get the buttons on the back thing.

I just read that it was going to be a 5.6 inch screen and there is a note type phone with a bigger screen. I would like that. But who knows. I'll tell you who knows, LG knows.

I hope they graduate the design language from the G3 instead of reverting to the G2 style buttons on the back... I'm interested to see this "Note" style phablet that's rumoured.

Love my G3 to no end, so it will be intriguing to see how they do with the G4

Why? You'll be able to slap a 128GB microSDXC card in there for an additional $70 if the G4 retains that functionality from the G3. That would be much less expensive than an S6 with 128GB of built-in storage plus that will also give you the option to use the 200GB card coming out soon (or at least wait until it drops to $100 early next year).

They had a Note-like phone the last go around and it was pretty bad. They didn't actually give it the specs to compete with the Note 3 or Note 4. It was called the LG G3 Stylus and it had a 540X960 5.5" display (yes, only ~200 ppi), a 1.2GHz MediaTek CPU, 1GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera that took terrible shots, a 1.3MP front camera that was even worse, a tiny battery (3000 mAh), and the stylus was more like a thin capacitive stylus than a fine-point like the Note series.

Hopefully, if LG decides to release an updated model, they will give it the proper specs. Then again, LG hasn't had the best of luck when it comes to phablet models with a stylus. Remember the LG Intuition? It too had a stylus that featured a capacitive end and didn't have any special features. The phone itself couldn't house the stylus either making it a rather poor device.
