How much data do you use on an average month on your Thunderbolts?

The only thing I basically use my currnet phone for is email and web surfing. I am being told that this will take up about 100-150 MB's of data usage per month. Would that be correct? I do not plan to stream movies or music. Thanks all.

I've used a hair under 100Mb, with 3 days left in my month. I'm in a 3g area however, and this makes me use WiFi quite a bit (any large downloads). I'd say the number you were given is fairly accurate, with the caveat that if you're a heavy email or internet user you could obviously see higher numbers. I check my email a dozen times or so a day, and the web 4-5. I do stream Pandora several hours a week.

5GB/month

I do not have an Android phone yet. I have a Blackberry. The customer service rep looked at my usage (which has averaged about 30 MB of use per month over the last year) and has said that if I use the Android phone in the same way (email and some casual website surfing)... that would end up costing me about 100 to 150 MB on the Android. Is the 5GB you mention your average usage Chrisy, or is that the limit of your plan?

What kinds of usages are you doing with your phone (any streaming? Netflix?) Thanks for the reply!

I have unlimited data with VZW. I'm in a 3G area, no access to WiFi.

I use the internet daily, as I don't have a computer. I also stream Slacker Radio, watch YouTube videos, and do a lot of mailing. I don't stream TV or videos only because 3G is a bit choppy.

You will always have lower data use on BlackBerry because their data is compressed and goes through BIS.

When Netflix and Skype are released I'm sure my data usage will increase.

Wow, really? That is encouraging. It sounds much like my usages. I have even tried using Pandora a few times and it has not created much of a blip in my usage since I have used it seldomly. My webpage usage is basically reading forums such as this one. Do you use any YouTube?

Around 100 MB for your usages is very encouraging since it seems like the same type of web & email usages that I would be doing.

Yeah, I check out You Tube maybe 3-4 times a week. I also watch Onion news, check the local weather (including live radar) etc. I'd say I average sending 5-6 e-mail per day (text only) I also have unlimited data, so I don't make any effort to limit use. I only limit big downloads to WiFi because they can be maddeningly slow.

Depends on how much you use, but i use a lot of e-mail and internet a day and can get over 30mb easily on just internet and e-mail per day.

Over 5gigs, my last bill I checked said close to 8gigs, I use my phone for everything, and I mean everything from torrent downloading to what ever else one may do with the internet. I do have a laptop and computer but I haven't been using them lately

I am sure I will get slammed here! I use 5 to 7 gigs in a week! Thanks to TV Shows Stream and Youtube. And some skype once in a while.

I don't have WiFi either at home or at work. And the wifi at the most of the public hotspots is slower than the 3G on my phone!

5-10 gigs a month, depending on how much radio i stream.
have wifi, but dont bother using it bc of unlimited data and speed of lte.

Depends on the user. I use well of 100Mb a day on 3G/4G, and well over 500Mb a day on WiFi. If you have a good WiFi signal and don't use 3G much then you could probably get by on 100-150Mb a month (I couldn't) but I don't really see it myself.

I used around 1.5GB this month. I use the I Heart Radio app and listen to my local talk show stations about 3 hours daily during my commute and at lunch, along with emails and web browsing daily. So far this month I'm only at 1.2GB with 4 days left to go. When I first got the phone in April the most I used was 2GB during the initial "playing around" stage since this is my first smart phone.

I'm at 1.3 gb with 14 days left on this month. I live in a 3g area and mostly use wifi at home. I mainly use the tbolt for streaming music, web surfing, and of course downloading apps.

5GB. But that was just streaming music for a little bit and mostly surfing, twitter and small stuff. I just starting using music streaming services so probably gonna be more this month. I have a sick obsession with how much data I use. Haha

sent for my fantastic thunderbolt.

Month 1 of my Thunderbolt - 151 MB
Month 2 of my Thunderbolt - 183 MB

I work from home for my full-time job and I am in a 3G area so I pretty much use WiFI most of the time. I pretty much only use the data coverage when I am out and about, on break at my part-time job, or when I forget to turn the WiFi back on after getting back home. :)

My average monthly usage prior to May was about 2-3gb. However, 4G + HBO Go + free wifi tethering^ netflix = ~14gb for May. I had no interest in losing unlimited data, but I wasn't expecting usage to increase quite this much. I'm sure it'll taper off a bit, but we'll see.
