how much functionality do you lose with a launcher?

I have the Galaxy launcher, which is pretty much the Note 4 launcher. I use the Nova launcher. There's nothing I've lost and a lot I have gained.

OTOH, my wife loves the TouchWiz look and feel. And we were both computer professionals before we retired. Go figure. I guess it's called "personal choice".

If you run a different launcher you lose some of the samsung widgets and the magazine screen (flipboard). Not a major loss for many of us considering the gains but it's understandable if you'd rather keep things stock.

The beauty of these devices is it's easy to try new things with no cost. Give a few launchers a try for yourself, if you don't like it then uninstall them. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
