Seriously. How much more screwy can this launch be? To not announce a date, let 2-3 dates "leak" and then pass, "leak" another date, announce that the leaked date won't be met, and then not announcing a date... Is this normal?

What else can seriously happen at this point? I've given up on the expectation that a date will be announced and stuck to. I'm now expecting something zany like only the stores in New Jersey will be allowed to sell the GNex on Wednesdays from 11:47a.m. - 3:29p.m. Everyone else will have to wait.

Or maybe, if you bring a canned food, you'll be able to get a GNex... but only if you sign up for ISIS!

Seriously, what else can match Verizon's ludicrous actions at this point? It's almost like they don't want our money!

It could be MUCH screwier. Don't give them any ideas. Next thing you know, Jurassic Park will be giving out BOGO vouchers.

that's like someone asking "can this get any worse?" then it does. all i have to say is that anything and everything can always get worse. always. there are so many more things they can do to screw this up. i hope you didn't jinx it lol. >_<

Yah, people should stop buying into rumors. It is really screwing the launch up. ;)

How long was that wait?

It was a good 8-10 weeks of leaked launch dates. I really feel like I am waiting for the TB all over again.

I am telling you, I think they do this for free advertisement

For me it was CES until launch on March 17th. The only reason there may not have been as many rumored dates for the Thunderbolt as there have been for the Galaxy Nexus is because everyone was still under the assumption that the phone would launch on a Thursday (which it did).

Now that Verizon has changed the game, nobody has any idea.

Actually, I think the Nexus wait is worse. The first credible rumored date for the TBolt was 2/17, I believe. Even had all of the Best Buy leaks, pre-sales, etc., pointing to that release. The TBolt eventually released on 3/17. So, it was effectively a month wait. Our first credible rumored date was 11/3, and it's been downhill ever since. And we've exceeded the month wait with no end in sight.

We are probably actually about even right now because I remember February 3rd or 10th at the latest as being the first credible rumored date. I thought November 10th was the first credible rumored date for the Galaxy Nexus (I could be wrong about that one though).

So anyway as long as it's before the 15th, it will be almost identical to the Thunderbolt launch.

I remember the Thunderbolt. I didn't have that much interest in it because I was happy with my Nexus S & Mytouch 4G and, was so focused on the Motorola Xoom. I didn't know the TB launch was such a pain.

I've never waited on a phone before it launched so this is not normal for me. I don't really think it's normal for anyone. Having said that, like most everyone here; I'm eagerly awaiting this device.

Except 98% of the population has no idea its even coming out. Having been happy with my Fascinate at the time I was completely oblivious to the TB launch debacle.
