How much of my available storage space can I actually use

I have a LG optimus L70 it says it has 1.48GB total storage and 450MB of available storage and I would like to know how much of the available space I can actually use because there are a couple of apps that I wanna download. I don't wanna have my phone tell me I have insufficient storage an then have to deal with deleting stuff trying to re-download for it to tell me Insufficient storage again. I just wanna make sure I have enough storage to begin with.

Welcome to Android Central! That can be hard to say, because it depends on how much storage an app actually needs. The filesize that is listed in Google Play is only the size of the download--it usually requires more storage once it's installed, and how much more it needs will vary with the app.
