how much price did the first generation drop?

for a 16 gb, it used to be 199, now it is about 179? did they drop the price after 6 months, etc?

When they introduced the 32GB and discontinued the 8GB model, they dropped the 16GB to the 8GB price and put the 32GB at the old 16GB price.

Google didn't drop the MSRP on the 1st Gen models this month. They just stopped selling them. Price drops at local stores depends how quickly they need to clear out inventory of discontinued G1 N7.

Today at Staples the 16gb was $179 and the 32gb was $199.

There is a readily available $30 off coupon though that brings them to $149 and $169 (got a 32gb for $180 OTD)

The 32gb is worth the extra $20.

While I do like the 2nd gen N7, I didn't feel the 32gb version was worth $100 more.
