How often are updates?

I'm debating if I want to get a Motorola RAZR + 2024. (Or any Motorola phone) How often does Motorola push out updates? Is the RAZR + 2024 running Android 16 yet? Which version did it come with? In case it matters, I'm in Canada (all phones are unlocked) and using Rogers.

I have the 2025 Razr+. Motorola is slow with updates. Mine is still on Android 15. And on November 2025 security patch.

However, this is a fantastic phone. I haven't had a Motorola in a long time and this is the best flip phone out there IMHO

The downside to Motorola is they have limited software updates. 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates. I usually get a new phone every 3-4 years so the amount of updates is just right for me.

So far we have had updates every month with the 2025 series. So far this month we haven't had one but last year is at this time the 2024 series received an OS update to 15.

It's not as bad as people will try to say is what my point is. Is it Pixel or Samsung good, no but it's not bad either imo

I generally hold onto my phones for about 2 years.
Have you had other flip phones? The RAZRs are looking really good to me.
I had the Flip 3 and Flip 5. The batteries were not good. The razr is a smoother experience. You can put apps on the external screen. Samsung requires you to put Good Lock and then another plugin to put the apps you want on the external screen. I recommend the razrs

I like Motorola's UI. Very smooth.
