I can honestly say I rarely ever use it. I turn on the screen with the volume keys, off the screen using the panel off widget of the elixir app, and normal restart/restart into recovery/power off i use widgetsoid switchers. The only time I do use the power button is when the phone is fully off and I need to power it on. What about you?

Constantly. I have my screen timeout set to 10 minutes, so I use the power button to turn off the screen as soon as I'm done using it, and of course to turn the screen back on when I want to use it again. I bet I push the thing well over 100 times a day.

I use mine all the time to wake the screen up as needed since the timeout is set to 30 seconds. Not a problem for me though as I don't want any other button to wake the screen nor want any extra apps than are needed (I highly limit apps anyway to keep things simple, a lot of app permissions turn me away too). Even with a lot of use, the power button is still solid and easy to press, hasn't sunken down at all.

My power button is almost gone, I use it all the time.

even though i've responded to the poll, i think it'd be better if you attached a number to each response. What you consider to be frequent may not be the same as what others perceive. Just a thought.

Good idea.

Umm, OK. So how many times do YOU push the button daily? :p :D

Good call. Never even thought about it. My wife's DROID 2 power button is beat up. I just downloaded the trail version of screen off. It works great and with no useless confirmation screen before it shuts the screen off. Thanks

I use it all the time, everyday. I reboot my phone every morning and I use the button to control the display.

Before I toss it in my purse, screen lock; before going to bed - Airplane Mode and Screen lock. Before I leave it at my desk charging, lock. Etc.

I reboot about once a week. I do this only because I tend to download free apps, fiddle around with them and then delete. Just sometimes helps to let the phone clean stuff out with a reboot. My opinion - can't prove anything but it works smoother afterward.

All the time. The only way to turn screen back on after a call to hang up. Proximity sensor doesn't work on my replacement.
