How the hell did I ever use an iPhone or a phone w/smaller screen?

So I am getting ready to ship my iPhone 3G out since I sold it on eBay and setting up the phone per auction terms and....

I CANT believe how primitive the iPhone looks after using the Evo for the last week or so. The screen seems SOOOO Small and I've gotten used to having four buttons and my mind has pushed out the one button solution of the 3G.

Also the screen size on the iPhone SUCKS!

I dont think I can ever go back to a phone with a screen smaller than 4.0inches

I can only imagine what the Pre owners are going thru when looking at their Pre...

I'm not bashing the iPhone or the Pre but I dont know how we ever did without a phone the size of the Evo in our lives.

The Evo's size isn't for everyone, and never will be. "primitive" is pushing it, I'd say.

As stated, some people don't like the large size. Personally, I never had any issue with the Pre's screen size.

LOL - I have an iPhone, and Incredible and the EVO. The Inc seems like a little minature kiddie phone now (not that it is a bad phone, it is not but it aint no EVO) and the iPhone seems years old to me! They are all capable devices but if you have them together, the differences are magnified. I was at a client's office this week and they are a Verizon customer. Many of the guys are wanting to order the Inc but after seeing the EVO, they are waiting on the Scorpion.

From my somewhat limited experience nothing scrolls as smooth as an iPhone.. I've had a iPhone, pre, messed with a pixi, hero, moment and now an EVO nothing compares to how connected you feel with an iPhone while navigating... just my opinion.. not going back to iPhone..ATT&T is too expensive..

But have you had an iPhone? And I believe you do not have an EVO yet, correct? Not knocking your statement, but until you have used these other devices (for longer than 15 minutes in the store), the difference is huge (no pun intended). After 2 days, the EVO was going to go back. By day 3 it was neck and neck and after day 4, it's EVO FTW. And it's even EVO when I get about 1.5mbps 3G speed on Verizon vs. .8 to 1.0mbps on Sprint and occasional 4G (I am apparently on the 4G edge of coverage).

Totally agree. ATT is not too expensive for me, but I need to make phone calls.

I'm not going to pick on the iPhone. Instead I'll comare to my Incredible and Motorola Droid. When I first got the EVO, I was a little turned on & off by the screen size all at once. I didn't care for the same amount of pixels, being stretched to fit the EVO's larger screen. I also saw the LCD as inferior to the AMOLED screen on the Incredible. I really didn't see myself keeping the EVO, and going through the trouble of leaving Verizon for Sprint, but after a weeks use, I can't even look at the Incredible's screen. It just looks way too small & colors are over saturated, compared to the EVO. I'm sure if I gave up the EVO and went back to the Incredible, I would be reconditioned after a week of use, but that doesn't seem plausible at the moment.

Anyone that goes back and reads some of my prior posts, will see that I'm one contradiction after another on this topic, but my opinion is evolving the more and more time I spend with the EVO ;

I owned an Ipod touch (Same screen size) and have used Iphone's before. I am not one of those fortunate enough to have an Evo yet :(, but I have played with one in the store for a little too long. The size is fine for me, that's why I went there. Just saying that some people's preferences are different, which is why I love Android, so many choices.

I won't be able to go back to an iPhone until the screen gets bigger.

3.5 inches just looks and seems like a thing of the past. And I'm glad they just went LCD with the Evo, I never cared for the AMOLED on the Nexus One.

I feel the same way. Going from the Hero to the EVO was like... "Whoa." It took about a day to adjust to the vast size difference between the two, but now I totally love the massive 4.3" screen. <3

As mentioned after 2 days I said to myself this thing is to big but by day 6 it grew on me and having a real hard time trying to return it. I think getting rid of the swipe to unlock really helped me.

+1. Yet another post that also applies to me.....

Saw in another post you are off to get an EVO. Good luck!

I had a Pre last year and ended up going iPhone due to the .3" increase in screen size. Made a big difference when I had both at the same time for a week. Otherwise I would have not noticed. Same with the EVO vs. Inc.

And people were knocking that the iPad was like a huge iPod Touch, it's actually an advantage!

I can't wait to use my Evo, it arrives today! I have to see how it compares to the iOS devices as I've never used an Android device before, and because the scrolling, responsiveness, and small little touches in the touch interface on the iOS is amazing.

Word! I had the Pre for a year, and now when I look at it (gave it to my mom!) I just laugh! I love the EVO size!! Not for everyone, sure I understand. But damn it's nice!
