How to access Samsung Contact list in Gmail app

When I select a Group from Contact list the Yahoo email app comes up. I want to use Gmail for group emails but cannot select it. Why not?

Welcome to Android Central! The Gmail app has always been deficient when it comes to sending group emails. You have to open your Contacts app first, select the group, then tap Menu>Send Email. (This is how it works for Google's Contacts app -- not sure if it's different with Samsung's Contacts app.)
