How to add a photo reply to a group text?

[Android Central Question]

I am in a long-running group text. I took a picture with my Samsung S7 Edge but can't figure out how to add it to the group conversation. Is there a way? Others are sending images to me, so there must be a way. Do I need to get an iPhone to do this?

Welcome to Android Central! In the group text thread, there should be an icon to attach a photo where you type a response -- you don't see one?

YES there is a +. Honestly, I hate icons and did not notice it or know what it as for!! But it opens a whole menu of choices on adding images, so thank you so much for taking the time to respond do a real 'DUH' question.

LOL, no problem! I would agree that a simple "+" icon isn't particularly explanatory, so it's not too surprising that a person would miss that.
