Is it possible to add a camera shortcut to the lock screen? I would like from the lock screen to swipe left for camera and right for phone.

Thanks!

Pressed enter before I finished typing by accident. Pull firm the right edge to the left and the camera pops open,I find this more tedious than just rotating the phone twice while it's on the way out of my pocket

Thanks for the info. I just realized that I was calling the Active Notifications screen the lock screen. Is there a way to do this from the active notifications screen? I can pull up to access the notification or pull down to "unlock". It would be nice if there were other items left and right.

I don't think you can do anything else from the notification screen, maybe they'll change that in the future

Quick capture. Defeats the purpose of needing a camera short cut.

Look under accessibility settings. There is a double tap option that allows one to choose an app including camera to activate by double tapping the screen.
I haven't tried it yet but it may serve your purpose.

You can also root and use gravity box. It allows you to select lock screen targets

Also by default picking up the phone and twisting (rotate it in your wrist twice), will take you directly to the camera app.
