I just went from stock/rooted LF9 to stock/rooted LG2. Here's how:

Step1:

Download this file and save it to your SD card
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28515785&postcount=2

Step 2:

(paraphrased from bbelos on XDA)

*** If you are on stock, rooted LF9, with the stock Jun 28 kernel:
1. Reboot to CWM recovery.
2. Flash OTA you just downloaded from Step 1 above
3. Flash TeamEpic's Root v5 .zip (http://www.epiccm.org/2012/06/team-epics-root-from-recovery.html)
4. Reboot.

Thanks for posting this Clocks!

I'm running BlazersROM. That would still be considered stock with the stock kernel, correct?

No. Blazer rom is not close to being stock. He has removed apps that must be in the system folder for the update. Other apps that were in the system folder he moved so they could be removed if you wanted to do so.

I went back to stock to get the ota. If I don't get the ota by the time I get off work today, I'll re root and force the update using this method. Thanks.

Thanks Skunkape,

So, is there no way to get there from BlazerROM until he releases a version that contains the new update?

I have a Nandroid of the rooted/stock ROM that I could flash back to if necessary but I don't mind waiting a few days for the update. Can I just keep delaying the system update or will it eventually try to load itself without my permission?

No it won't install on it's own. Even if you wait for Blazer to be updated, it won't update your baseband. It will only update the software build. If I were you, I would go back to stock rooted and flash the update so everything gets updated. Then you can wait for the rom to be updated and everything will be updated.

Thanks a lot guys!

One more quick question. I've got the update now installed on my stock/rooted ROM. Is it okay to now flash back to BlazersROM without the update or should I wait until he has the new one out to go back?

Your baseband should remain unchanged. So you can do it and then when he updates the rom, you should be good.

Yup, I got re-rooted no problem. No need to redo the whole Odin process. All you need to do after update is reflash TeamEpic-Root-from-Recovery-v5 to restore root.

Thanks Clocks, this worked for me. I liked being able to just flash the zips (like on my old Evo) instead of having to go into Odin.
