How to buy Custom Moto X on verizon but purchase from amazon (or somewhere else)

I want to buy a new moto X and customize it because that is one of the coolest feature of the phone. Looks like that price starts at 100 bucks if I buy from Verizons website. Amazon give a deal for 1 cent but it does not look like you can customize. This is a phone upgrade on a family plan. Where can I get the best deal and still customize it? URL or link would be awesome.

Try Motorola's site, customize phone and choose Verizon as carrier.

The only place you can customize a moto x is on Motorola's website. You can still get the carrier subsidy if you really want to go that route.
