Android Central Question

The screen on my Leagoo M5 started getting bad at responding correctly to taps and sliding, and now I can't do the pattern to unlock it anymore as it keeps reacting like I'm swiping down to emergency call.

I've no idea how to access the phone as it requires the pattern unlock despite correct fingerprint recognition.

I tried getting a USB OTG converter wire thing in an attempt to connect a mouse to the phone to do the pattern that way but nothing happens.
I've ordered a new phone but I don't know if I can get the entries on its built in calendar across to the next one etc, I don't know if there's some way around this?

The only way to get into the phone is with the pattern unlock. If you can't do that you have an expensive paperweight.

Welcome to Android Central! Try booting into the Recovery Menu, where you can either wipe the cache partition or do a full factory reset. Be aware that after a reset, you'll still have to enter the Google account/password associated with that phone, which is Google's Factory Reset Protection feature.
