how to change chinese version of oneplus 5 to english version

I have a brand new oneplus 5 phone purchased in China, all the apps are in chinese even after I change the language to English, even the browser, Is there a way to convert the apps to english version?

Welcome to Android Central! You'd probably have to flash a different ROM. I'll move this thread to the OnePlus 5 forum to see if anyone there can help.

I'd advise a factory reset and selecting English at first boot... Probably the easiest and most reliable solution.

It should work just to change it in "languages and input", under the "system" header in settings though... I'm 100%not willing to change my language to Chinese to verify though lol.

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap on My Device at the top of the screen.
3. Below Input and control subheading, tap on Language.
4. Now select on Language at the top of the screen.
5. Change the settings to your new language.
