How to change default calendar associated to at a glance widget

I had my work email app Boxer associated to the at a glance widget, but boxer didn't show me my events, so I switched to an app that works with the web version of my email and allows me to link it to a google calendar. But now I can't figure out how to switch the calendar. I thought before I had cleared data on the google app, that didn't work. I tried going into apps and setting the calendar I want as default, that didn't work. Any help?

Go to Settings>Apps & Notifications>See All Apps then locate the Boxer app. Go to Advanced>Open by Default and then click on "Clear Defaults" under the Other Defaults section. The next time you click on the At a Glance widget for the calendar, it will prompt you to choose an app.
