Hi all, i want to change the default save folder for pictures that i take on my camera.

I want the EVO to save on to my sd card, how do i do that? Ive searched to no avail.

I should save them to your sd card by default.
Use a file manager, go into sd card and select media. There should be a DCIM folder there with your pictures in it.

thanks so much, for some reason it wasnt recognizing my new card, but after i installed astro it worked like a charm!

I am interested in the original question. How does one change the location where photos are stored? Most digital cameras allow you to create folders to save images into. For example, I recently went on a vacation to a family reunion, the zoo, a baseball game, etc. On my camera, I can organize all those photos as I take them. On my Android, they're all in the DCIM folder, and I have to do it manually... Any ideas?

*bump*

I'm also interested in the original questions. I just switched from WinMo to Android and love it, but I'm not familiar enough to navigate the registry (or whatever it's called in Android) to find the right key to change the default file save location. I am sure, however, someone else here knows. :)

I'm using dropbox and would like to have my pictures automatically sync to my desktop and laptop simultaneously without me having to move the files from /DCIM to /dropbox. I'm exploring to see if Picassa can do this for me, but in the meantime, any suggestions?!?

It should be known that the memory on an android is called sdcard which is different than sd_external which is the sd device that the end user installed.

For Android Gingerbread version 2.3.3 you can change the cameras default save location. Launch the camera app, click on settings (cog), click on wrench tab, scroll down then select Memory card. Change to Memory card (versus Internal memory).

That's it, Good Luck

I solved this problem with a new program on Google Play called 'URSafe Media Redirector', it allow you to change any default folder to the folder you prefer. It is very good to organize your Sdcard contents.
