How to change default "SDCARD" from internal to SD card storage

I am new to Android. When I bought and set up my new phone, I did not have a SD card with me. I guess the Android OS initialized and set up the 32gb internal storage as "SD-card". Using a directory/file explorer app, it shows "SD-card" as /storage/emulated/0. This is too technical for me, but I guess this is where the OS and apps like camera and music player expect to read and save files by default. So Android labelled the internal storage as "SD-card".

Here is my confusion and question: I now have a real physical card that I put in the card slot. I follow the instructions to format it and make it a "portable storage" (not internal adoptable storage). Using directory/file explorer app, I notice the the "SD-card" directory is still pointing to /storage/emulated/0. My real physical card is shown as "USB" and points to /storage/4B07-14FB .

I change my camera setting to save to /storage/4B07-14FB which is my physical SD card. That's ok, no problem. But other apps don't have a setting to allow you to change physical storage.

Questions: 1) So how do I make apps save by default to my physical SD card, /storage/4B07-14FB ??
2) How do I tell Android Marshmallow to use /storage/4B07-14FB as the default storage ?
3) How do I tell Android Marshmallow to change the name of /storage/4B07-14FB to something more friendly like "/storage/sdcard" instead of weird numbers and letters ?

Thanks.

For each app, you need to change the settings to save to the SD card instead of the internal storage. Not all apps support this.

There is no "default storage" for the OS. That is a feature of the individual apps.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no renaming of the SD card.

Most of what you're asking can be done via root access, however my internal card is human readable, no funny strings. Thats both using Samsung rom and CM13

To make my sd card the default storage for my LG Stylo 2V, I:
1. From home screen, tap setting.
2. Tap application manager
3. Scroll to camera.
4. Tap permissions.
5. Turn off storage permissions. (Ignore the warning.)
6. From home screen, tap camera. Message will say "camera needs permission."
7. Tap Allow. Window will pop up saying "Make sd card default storage?"
8. Tap yes.
