How to change lg g8 to g6 texting system

I got the g8 today and I hate it. Reminds me of my moto g5.

I want it to have the text conversation box pop up in the top left corner where I can automatically reply. Also when I go into my messages, it clears the notifications for all the other texts and I don't even notice that they were there. How can I change this to the old setting?

You remove the G8 and install a G6. In other words, you can't.

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this from the K10 forum (not sure why it was there) to the G8 forum.

You may want to try various 3rd party SMS apps from the Play Store to see if anything has a similar feature.

I'm using google messages. Tried Textra, and didn't like it, but so far I'm liking the google one.
