How to change statusbar icons?

I just got my new Galaxy SIII for T-Mobile This is my first Android phone (long time Apple user), and I'm really excited to start customizing it! To all the experienced Android users out there, is there a way for me to change the statusbar icons? I personally liked the battery and signal strength icons that are designed for the HTC One S or X better than the SIII's. Is there an app out there for me to make these changes, but without rooting my phone? I'm too new to this, so I don't want to chance rooting and possibly risking issues with a brand new phone. Thanks in advance!

The only way would be to Root the phone and not for the faint of heart. Rooting does void the warranty of the phone if you brick it you could be stuck.
