How to change the "Run in background" options presented when installing apk on EMUI 4

When I install any app using .apk the installer presents a 'Run in background' toggle on the same page with the permissions settings when the app is finished installing. What does this toggle do, and more importantly how do I change it afterward, as I might have selected it the wrong way for some of the app I have installed; I can find the corresponding permissions in the Permission Manager but can't seem to find where else this or equivalent toggle is mentioned/located in any of the settings.
