How to change the way G2 names pictures

I was wondering if any of you know how to change the naming structure of the pictures the G2 takes. Currently it names them something like CAM0001, for example. Is there any way to change the naming structure to something involving the date, for example 201412230030 (year, month, day, time)?

I don't think there's a way to change the naming format with the stock app. Take a look at a third party camera app, and see if the naming can be customized, or at least changed to something else.

So what I did was install Camera Zoom FX. I had that installed in my old Galaxy SII (I forgot I had bought it). This allows you to name the pictures differently. It seems to always add the year,month,day,seconds to anything you want to name the pictures (its set to "CamerZoomFX-" then year...etc.)
I cleared the prefix for picture names (the "CamerZoomFX-" part), so the pictures are now only named by year, month, day, time.

So, it seems that srkmagnus was correct in that you can only do it via third party camera apps.

Did you run an update. I remember having a similar question. But now my phone auto names by date. No 3rd party apps. Think it happened after an update.
