How to choose a video player?

So, I downloaded an MP4 clip on my S7 Edge for the first time. When I go to MyFiles and access the clip from there, it asks me what player I want to open it with, but only for the first time. After that, whenever I play the clip, it opens it with that player I have chosen. Is this normal? Do you know how I can change the player every time I open a video (except going to the player app and open it from there. I am talking specifically for the MyFiles app).

I just use the default one at least for now

Settings>Applications>Default app setting, change to "ask before setting default" . This should result in you choosing which app opens each time.

I know that the Samsung manufacturer has removed both its stock music and video player applications from the units and instead, replaced them with Google Play music and Google Play Movie, which only allow you to play Google Play store purchased or rented music or movies. Which default media player you are using?

You can play anything on your device. You're not limited to Play Store content.
