How to connect my Enlighten to my home internet

I am new to this type of phone and want to save on my Data charges but don't know how to connect the phone to my internet at home, I am told that it should show up automatically but it doesn't...Please help!

Menu/Setup/Wireless & networks/Wifi. Click it to turn on the check.

If it doesn't connect after about 30 seconds (or ask you for a password if your wifi network is secured), go to Wifi settings. You should find your network's name in there. Click on it and click on Connect. There should also be a "remember this" checkbox in there. I'd tell it to remember my home connection to save work in the future.
