Hi, I need to do a presentation in a couple of months and will be creating it on my desktop, then will save the PDF or PPT version on my Note II and connect it to a projector.

Is this possible?

I know of course that I can save the PDF to my Note II, but would a projector be able to play it using the USB cable that came with the phone?

Thanks,

USB cable is a no go for video. Is there an HDMI port on the projector?

Of course there is. The note 2 is a MHL device and video is output through the usb port. You need the correct usb to hdmi mhl cable. Monoprice carries them at extremely reasonable prices. Go to monoprice.com and search for mhl cable.

Yep! MHL is basically Plug and Play. Go search up a few i'm sure you'll find a bunch that you'd like just to name a few since you said its for presentations I'm guessing you want a small one. The Orealo C1 MHL slim projector is 40 lumens for $169 and comes with the MHL adapter. theres a video on youtube to see how it looks. Samsung Galaxy S4 HDMI to MHL Video with Orealo C1 Slim Pico Projector - YouTube
then theres one by brookstone thats pretty cheap but lower brightness at 25 lumens for $149.

You could also use a Chromecast. More apps are coming out that would enable you to do things like this (& more).
